I love the "Eat" signs in all of these kitchens so I started crafting!

I made a quick trip to Hobby Lobby and I picked up the letters. I went with the chipboard ones because they are so light so hanging them would not be an issue.

They were $0.99 each.
Everything else I already had...fabric, paint, mod podge, and a foam paint brush.

First I painted the letters...candy apple green.

Then I cut the flowers out of the fabric that I had left over from the curtains in the family room and the living room.  I moved them around a couple of times until I decided just how I wanted them.

Then I covered the back of the fabric with the mod podge and placed it on the letters. I smoothed it out and then put a thick coat over the entire letter, flowers and all.

Once they were dry, I put them on the window frame above the sink in the kitchen.

The whole project was just $3!

Etsy Fabric Flower Necklace Knockoff

Wednesday, April 11, 2012
So apparently I took a little sabbatical from blogging...but no worries...I am back!

I had been eying a necklace like the one below from Etsy for awhile. I just think it is super cute!

They ranged in price from $18-24 and I just could not bring myself to spend that, so I made my own!

Turns out is was very easy and cost me less that $1! The only thing I had to buy was the chain which came in a package of 3 and cost $3 making each only $1. I used leftover fabric that I had as well as leftover felt from a previous product.

Trust me, you can make one too! Here are some of the pictures of the process!

And a pic of the final product. A dollar well spent!
