I am Aly.
Or Sookie Jane as I was called growing up.
I have no idea why, but my grandfather and uncle always called me Sookie Jane.
I am a nurse who loves crafting, decorating, and baking.
Or Sookie Jane as I was called growing up.
I have no idea why, but my grandfather and uncle always called me Sookie Jane.
I am a nurse who loves crafting, decorating, and baking.
But mostly, I love
spending quality time with my family and friends.
I am just a simple girl living what I thought to be an ordinary life when my whole world came crashing down. It fell hard and I was left empty. You see, on 3.19.2013, my daughter passed away within the hour of her birth. It was simply the best and worst day of my life all rolled into one. But, that was not all, a few short months after her death, my marriage came to a devastating end. There was no fight left in me.
Life isn’t always what you envision or dream of as a little girl. As perfectly as you plan it, sometimes you have to learn to navigate a new path. When there was nothing left in me, I threw my hands up and prayed for God to work in me and through…and that He has.
This is my little place where I share my real and authentic self as I venture into my new path...faithfully believing along the way in God’s promise of a plan of hope and a future for me (Jeremiah 29:11).
